The Conservatory atNorth Austin is seeking a PART TIME Fitness Coordinator to join our team.
The FitnessCoordinator will oversee the Fitness program for the community. Responsible for implementing the fitness program, promoting wellnessparticipation and increased physical activity at all ability levels. Throughresident engagement including assessments, training, group exercise andprogramming, the Fitness Coordinator will help residents achieve and celebratepersonal success leading to a healthier community.
Responsibilities:
- Develops andimplements fitness programing for the community that includes various levels ofresident abilities and interests.
- Teaches a varietyof group exercise classes in the community to include: strength, balance,flexibility and endurance, with aquatic exercise as a feature in our community.
- Teaches residentsthe correct use of exercise equipment and machines.
- Demonstrates propertechnique and use of all fitness equipment and ensures residents havesufficient knowledge and skill when using the equipment.
- Recruits residentsto participate in fitness programs.
- Reviews fitnessprogram on a monthly basis and makes changes based on attendance and residentfeedback.
- Monitors residentparticipation and contacts them if attendance wanes.
- Provides ongoingguidance for residents with regard to their fitness goals and proper use ofequipment.
- Manages residentconcerns or questions related to the program.
- Ensures personalcertifications are kept to date; completing coursework when necessary.
- Maintains CPR Cert& HIPPA Compliance.
- Administersresident satisfaction surveys per guidelines. Performs other duties asassigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified PersonalTrainer or Certified Group Exercise Instructor by accredited governing bodyrequired: ACSM or NASM preferred.
- Degree in a related field preferred, but notrequired
- One to Threeyears of experience in strength, balance, flexibility and endurance training isrequired. Experience with seniors is required.
- Ability to work aflexible, part time schedule.
